![]() ![]() There are other areas that I thought were not explained very well. I wish this had been examined to a greater degree. There are looks and tension between the two but nothing concrete is really divulged. The question is was there a romantic relationship prior to Liesel's marriage? The extent of their past relationship is not really shown. You know the women are very close and below the surface there is this desire for more, but until the last 20 minutes you do may not grasp the extent of regret one of the woman has about missed opportunities. I agree with another reviewer that the relationship was vague at times. The film is a bit slow in places, particularly the love and longing between the two main characters. However, I just wonder how much of the story stays true to the actual facts. ![]() The house is the focal point and most of the major issues or actions of the film all come back to the house in some way. She certainly seemed more invested in the relationship between the two women, particularly in the beginning of the movie. She had more screen time which resulted in a deeper understanding of her character. The acting is very well done and I particularly thought Carice van Houten did a great job at portraying Hana. ![]()
